  • NKYAG

I often work with the Northern Kentucky Accountability Group (NKYAG), a transformative employment support group offered by the Kenton County Public Library, providing workshops on transferable skills and how to create a core skills chart.  I serve on the Kenton County Public Library Foundation Board and find the library to be one of the most outstanding resources in our region.  I am impressed with the NKYAG and have great heart for all our job searchers.

  • Pink Link Project

The Pink Link Project is an initiative to reduce a barrier that some students face every month during their menstrual cycle. This project provides period products for students who cannot afford or do not have access to purchase what they need. Without this support, some students in Covington are absent from school for several days each month. What began as a low-key, grassroots plea for financial and product donations has turned into a wildly successful campaign that will absolutely make a difference in the lives of students attending Covington Schools.

Northern Kentucky Accountability Group (NKYAG)

This employment support group offers invaluable service to those who are in the midst of their job searches and the weekly meeting led by Natalie Ruppert, the Manager of Workforce Development for the library, often has 75-100 participants. The classes offered by the library are excellent and hundreds of people searching for employment enroll in several of their classes before finding their next employment.  What is noteworthy is that all these services are free to the public. Dave Schroeder, the Library Director, had a wonderful vision when he created a workforce development program as a part of their permanent services through the library and Natalie Ruppert does a great job of creating and implementing those services. Many thanks for your responsiveness to community needs.

If you are interested in learning more about NKYAG, please go to the Kenton County Public Library website at https://www.kentonlibrary.org/careerandjobservices/ and feel free to join our weekly meetings in person or via zoom.

Pink Link Project

In addition to period products, the Pink Link Project has answered the call from female athletes for supportive performance sports bras. Using funds raised through the Pink Link Project, Covington Partners is able to fit female athletes with a properly sized sports bra and purchase bras through an outside vendor. Bras are delivered to female athletes from The Pink Link Project.
